NOSSCR Welcomes Michael Linskey as Director of Political & Legislative Strategy

Washington, DC, March 23, 2020 – Today, NOSSCR proudly welcomes Michael Linskey as its Director of Political and Legislative Strategy. We also say goodbye to Lisa Ekman this week, Director of Government Affairs, after many dedicated years of work on behalf of our members and their clients. Thank you, Lisa. Words cannot adequately express your impact and dedication.

Mr. Linskey comes to us with almost 15 years of experience working on Capitol Hill and with membership organizations, most recently at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychology (AACAP). As Deputy Director of Congressional and Political Affairs at AACAP, he developed and promoted their legislative agenda and created and managed the PAC. His recent accomplishments include: the passage of a landmark comprehensive mental health reform bill; passage of legislation enabling children’s psychiatric hospitals to receive Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education funds; and securing appropriations for a children’s psychiatric access hotline where pediatricians can consult directly with psychiatrists about their cases.

“With the addition of Mr. Linskey to our Office of Government Affairs, NOSSCR will continue to advocate for our members, their clients, and for improvements in the Social Security Disability programs,” says Executive Director Barbara Silverstone.

In tandem with these staffing changes, we are pleased to report some restructuring in NOSSCR’s Office of Government Affairs: Stacy Cloyd will continue at NOSSCR in her new role as our Director of Policy and Administrative Advocacy. With Ms. Cloyd and Mr. Linskey as a team, you can be assured that the Office of Government Affairs remains in excellent hands.
